Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions for players

General

What is MCServers.me?

MCServers.me is a platform where you can discover, search, and vote for the best Minecraft servers. We help players find their perfect gaming community and help server owners grow their player base.

Is this service free?

Yes! Both browsing servers and voting are completely free. Server owners can list their servers for free.

Can I add my own server to the website?

Absolutely! We welcome all Minecraft server owners. Simply create an account using your Google account (we only support Google login for simplicity), click the 'Add Server' button in the dashboard or navigation menu, and follow the steps to list your community.

Voting

How do I vote for a server?

Simply visit a server's page and click the 'Vote' button. You'll be redirected to complete the vote, which usually involves solving a captcha to prevent automated voting.

How often can I vote?

You can vote for each server once per day. Your vote resets at midnight UTC, so you can vote again the next day.

Can I vote multiple times for the same server?

Yes, you can vote for each server once every day. Frequent voting is the best way to support your favorite community and help them climb the rankings.

What happens when I vote?

Your vote increases the server's popularity score and helps it rank higher in our listings. It also provides valuable feedback to server owners about their community's engagement.

Additionally, most servers offer their own unique in-game rewards for voters. You should log into the server and run the /vote command to see the exact perks and rewards they provide!

Is voting anonymous?

We only collect your Minecraft username. This allows us to process the vote accurately and ensures the server can deliver your rewards to the correct in-game account. Please note that server owners can choose whether or not to make the vote history (a list of recent voters) public on their server page.

Finding Servers

How do I find servers to vote for?

You can browse our server listings on the home page, search by keywords, filter by categories, or check the top servers page to see the most popular ones.

What information is available about servers?

Each server listing shows the server name, description, player count, categories, website, social links, Java IP, Bedrock IP, and voting information. You can also see if the server is online or offline.

How do server rankings work?

Servers are ranked based on their voting score, which considers recent votes, total votes, and server activity. High quality servers with active communities are naturally shown further up in the ranking.

Can new or smaller servers get exposure?

Unlike other server lists that sell their top spots to the highest bidder, we ensure that exposure is also provided to new or smaller servers. This creates a fair environment where growth is based on community engagement rather than budget.

Troubleshooting

Why can't I vote for a server?

  • You may have already voted for that server today
  • The server might be unverified or voting disabled by the owner
  • Voting might be temporarily disabled platform-wide for maintenance or other reasons
